Bryggen is one of Bergen's and Norway's main attractions. Bryggen was built after the great fire in 1702 and is included on UNESCO's World Heritage List. The very first buildings in Bergen were situated at Bryggen, which has been a vibrant and important area of the city for many centuries.

Rosenkrantztårnet is a building in Bergen, by Vågen. It was built in the 1560s by Erik Rosenkrantz on the basis of an older building from the 13th century. Originally, the Rozenkrantz Tower was a medieval tower, the so-called "castle by the sea", built as a ring wall tower with moat and drawbridge in the middle of the 13th century in connection with Håkon Håkonsson's royal estate. Magnus Lagabøte decorated chapel with beautiful cross vaults in the tower in 1273.
The fire station at Skansen was built in 1903. After a big fire in 1901, the city acknowledged the need for an up-to-date fire department and found hidden resources for its funding. The investments of 1903 are still enjoyable for us today - the fire station is now a cultural heritage site and among the town’s many prides. Mind you, not everyone praised the building’s architecture in 1903…
