Golden Horse and Jade Rooster Archway -Golden Horse and Jade Rooster Archway - symbol of cultural landscape in Kunming Standing at the heart of Kunming, Golden Horse and Jade Rooster Archway was originally built in the Period of Xuande (1426 – 1435) in the Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644). The east archway – Golden Horse Archway was named after its location that is near the Golden Horse Mountain. The west archway – Jade Rooster Archway is situated close to the Jade Rooster Mountain.
